I was lucky enough to be contacted by Whitney to capture a maternity photography session on their stunning property in Waipu. Their home overlooks the peaceful estuary, and from the moment I arrived, I knew it was going to be something special.

Whitney was absolutely glowing. She and her partner are preparing to welcome a baby girl, and their excitement was contagious. One of the things I love about maternity photography is how it captures more than just a baby bump. It tells a story of love, anticipation, and the quiet beauty of motherhood.

We started the shoot at sunrise, and it did not disappoint. The soft morning light wrapped the hills in a warm glow and reflected beautifully off the estuary. It was the perfect setting for natural, heartfelt maternity portraits.

TTheir property gave us lots of variety. We explored open paddocks and quiet, shaded spots beneath the trees. Some photos were playful and candid. Others were soft and still, showing the deep connection between Whitney and her baby.
